Let me have Umeshnath Sharma – Co-Founder of Uhapo Health Services Pvt. Ltd, a Social Enterprise. With a strong background in the healthcare industry, Umesh has led multinational companies and has been involved with Uhapo since its inception.
Thank you, Vivek, for the introduction. Today, we had a wonderful discussion on Advocacy. Last year, we started with the topic of Access, and this year, we focused on Advocacy. Our main goal through the Uhapo Cancer Conclave is to gather the top minds in the country to discuss specific topics, such as advocacy. We delve deeply into this topic by bringing it out on white paper, as we did last year for Access. Similarly, we are going to bring in a white paper for advocacy, which will be shared with both government and non-government organizations. This is our core objective in having today’s important discussion.
Advocating for cancer patients is extremely important and goes hand in hand with their treatment. In our country, patients and caregivers face many unique challenges when it comes to cancer treatment. I have a long list of people whom I need to thank. A special thank you goes to our panel of experts for their valuable insights, and with their help, we will shape our discussions and create our white paper. I want to especially thank Dr. Kumar Prabhash and Dr. Vijay Patil for their unwavering support and guidance, despite being on their busy schedules.
The topics discussed by our panelists today were all pertinent to cancer advocacy, providing us with valuable insights guided by the group of experts and specialists for our future endeavors.
